I’m heading off to Trieste without a place to sleep yet. I find a big shopping mall with free WiFi and make plans for tonight. Since I have a hard time finding a cheap place to sleep I decide to go wild camping in Slovenia. But first I use my Garmin to tour myself around Trieste.

In Slovenia it’s getting dark again and I still haven’t found a place to set up my tent. I give up and search for a camping. A lot of campings are closed this time of the year but after a while I find one. I takes me about half an hour to set up my tent in the dark but I think I can do it in under ten minutes next time.

I find a nice restaurant to eat but I can only pay cash so I first need to go to an ATM. The waitress says it’s around the corner. I put my card in the first machine I see. It instantly swallows my card and won’t give it back. It’s only now that I see it’s a bus ticket machine. I slightly panic and start pressing buttons and buy a bus ticket. Don’t know what to do with that. I use my credit card to withdraw some money for food at the ATM ten meters further and decide to go back to the bus company first thing in the morning.

I wake up later than I planned and go see if I can get my debitcard back. They already have it laying ready at the bus company. It’s too late now to pack up my tent and ride so I decide to take the day off and catch up on my writing and editing photos and videos. I will get up early next morning too make up for the lost time.
